When do I keep my sick child home from preschool?
Here is a short list of common illnesses and our policy concerning the duration for keeping your child at home after showing signs:
Fever: Please stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone (without the use of fever-reducing medicines)

Vomiting: Please stay home for at least 24 hours after vomiting stops.
RSV: Please stay home until you have been cleared by your doctor and have an accompanying doctors note when you return.
Cough and Cold Symptoms: If your child has a persistent cough, runny nose, or other cold symptoms, it's advisable to keep them at home until their symptoms have significantly improved.
Flu-like Symptoms: In the case of flu-like symptoms, we recommend keeping your child at home until they have fully recovered.
Chicken Pox: Please stay home for at least one week, or until the rash is gone and all blisters have dried.

Lice: Please stay home until there are not any live, crawling lice seen on the scalp. Please continue to check the scalp 7-10 days after the first treatment.

Hand Foot and Mouth: Please stay home for one week, or until the fever has been gone for at least 24 hour, and the sores and open blisters have healed.
Covid-19: Please stay home for 5 days then wear a mask for days 6-10 if you choose to return.
