Pack Farms Field Trip
October 5th and 6th

we will be going on our first field trip to . . .
Pack Farms in Farmington
Our tour starts at 10:30 but they would like us there 20 minutes early. We should plan on being there about 10:10. If you will not be joining us please let me know as soon as possible. I cannot drive your child but I will help find a ride with one of the other students. If you can bring another student, please let me know and I will let you know if we need you to drive.
This is a fun outdoor activity for the children. Once on site, we will be given a brief introduction to the maze and the agricultural principles behind it. At 10:30 taken out to the farm. They will talk to us about the different types of food they are growing then we will stop at the pumpkin patch where the kids can pick their own pumpkin. We will then be going over to their activity area. These activities include a big slide, yard games, corn box, pumpkin checkers, tick-tac-toe and of course, a hay maze. The cost for this activity is $4 per child. I will cover this cost for my students. If you will be joining us there is no cost for adults but, if you bring another child their cost will be $4 for each person. I will need to know who is going and have the money before we leave. I need to pay for everyone at the same time. I will pay for everyone at 10:15. Please be there by then so I don’t pay for someone who is not attending. You will need to have your money into me no later than September 28th and 29th. I cannot accept money on the day of the field trip. It makes it too difficult for me.
If you are unable to take your own child or if you can take other children in your car, please let me know. I know that some of the parents work but I would like everyone to have the opportunity to attend with us. If you can come, please let me know and how many other children you can fit in your car. If you would like to come but cannot take other children you are welcome to join us. You may also bring other siblings if you would like. (Remember there is a cost of $4 for any other children if you bring them.)
I still have some Little Tiger Preschool t-shirts for sale. These are great for wearing on field trips. They are orange with Little Tiger Preschool on the back. If you would like to purchase one, they are $10.00 each.

There you can tell me if you and your child are going and if you are bring any other children. I cannot accept payment on-line. You can send cash, check, venmo or with a credit card.
(if you pay with cash please put it in in an envelope with your child’s name on it and how many will be attending including adults. If you pay with a check please write your child’s name on the check. Put the money in your child’s take home folder. Don’t just throw it in the backpack.)
Other information to know for your Field Trip:
Please come prepared for an outdoor farm experience by dressing appropriately for the weather.
Water bottles are a good idea as the children are active around the farm. There are no water fountains so please bring your own drinking water.
Mosquito spray and other allergies to outdoor environment (grass, hay, straw, bees) should be noted and appropriate action taken.
Flip Flops and sandals are not recommended.
